OMG I made it to day 7! I have to tell you that I have commitment issues, and I rarely do anything on a regular basis except stalk Facebook. Don't judge! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to bust out 7 days in a row of blog posts, much less 7 days that actually had decent content! Anyway now that pat on the back is over, here is the 7th and final chair of September's 7 Days of Seating! The pièce de résistance! The chair even looks kind of French!
I am crazy excited about this chair. I've always wanted to do a type of upholstery project that involved more than just stapling new fabric onto a seat cushion. However, I just kept hording collecting chairs (like this one...and a few others!) and kept being too scared to do anything with them! I will say that I didn't reupholster this chair. I'm still way too scared to do that! Maybe scared isn't the word...I think lazy works better! :)
In about a week or more I'll do a tutorial on how I changed the color of the fabric. Let me tell you, it was ridiculously easy and fast! As in, I can't wait to do it again! I have a little bit more testing I want to do on the piece's durability before I do a full how to, and if it turns out that it sucks...I'll let y'all know!
For the time being, here's some rich blue eye candy for you. Mmmm....isn't that a gorgeous peacock blue?
This concludes September's 7 Days of Seating. Thanks for sticking it out with me...maybe I'll do it again next year! :)
