Vanilla Triple Berry & Banana Smoothie!

I was thinking about the blog this morning and that it was time for me to do another post. So, I was trying to decide on something quick, like an accessory project I have waiting in the wings. Then it dawned on me that I hardly do any recipes. If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter, you saw my post about wanting to eat chocolate ganache for breakfast today! I seriously have the best leftover cake from my birthday...don't worry, I promise it will still get devoured!.

I decided since I'm only 5lbs shy of my minimum recommended pregnancy weight gain with 2.5 months left to go that I would skip the cake for breakfast and opt for something a bit healthier, yet still sweet!

Behold: the fastest vanilla triple berry & banana smoothie ever!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup frozen triple berry mix, no sugar added (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
1 frozen banana
1 container of low fat vanilla yogurt
1/4 - 1/2 cup of non-fat milk

Simply place all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.

I find it easier to put the milk in first since it helps blend more easily. With my blender, I end up removing the center piece of the top and move things around with a spoon at first. It tends to want to just let the big chunks sit at the top, otherwise!

This seriously takes only like 5 minutes to make, including gathering ingredients! It makes the perfect breakfast or snack on the go! I used to dump everything in the blender and refrigerate it the night before for my husband to whip one up in the morning. If the fruit isn't frozen it makes the smoothie a little thinner and not as cold, but if you're super pressed for time or have a helpless hubby it works!

The hardest part? Waiting to drink it while I took a bunch of photos! ;) Enjoy!
