New Transitional Crystal, Drum Shade Chandelier!

I've always been so envious of other bloggers' lighting! I never attempted to really upgrade ours for two reasons. 1. cost   2. installation (which I figured would just end up increasing #1).

I mean, the lights that I really liked were a LOT of $ (of course now they're on sale...but still a lot!), that coupled with the fact that I'm terrified of messing with electricity yielded no serious shopping for new lights.

I looked into DIY options, but it just seemed like a lot of work, and maybe slightly out of my skill level. I loveeee this one from Sarah M. Dorsey!

Then one day the stars aligned and I was checking out at Lowe's when I saw this beauty on the clearance cart for only $40! #saywhat Naturally, I snagged it up without a second thought! It sat on the floor in the baby's closet for a couple of weeks until I sweet talked my husband (the nuclear ELECTRICIAN engineer) to finally hang a light for me! lol

I love that it's a transitional piece. The shade makes it a tad modern with a traditional-ish chandelier. The few crystals are just enough bling for me! I'm so glad I got it! The builder grade light we had before was soooo underwhelmingly awful.

Here's the before photo.

And after! I think it's safe to say my photography skill have improved IMMENSELY! That is also a new (to me) table. ...and Reagan's high chair that I haven't posted about or used because I STILL haven't clear coated it!

And now for some more chandy candy! ;)

I think it was a MAJOR deal for only $40! I'm very happy with it! Hope y'all enjoyed, too!
