Refinised Classic Mid-Century Modern Dresser

I'm obsessed with MCM furniture lately! The clean lines, the classic style. Versatile enough to go boho, eclectic, transitional, almost anything!

I saw this dresser at goodwill and just had to have it. It didn't matter that I had scored the exact same one a few days before at another thrift store! ;)  There's always room for another dresser! Sadly it had some damage along the top, but all the drawers opened and shut nicely - so I took the plunge!

My furniture makeovers are often dictated by the pieces themselves. This piece got a shiny white body because that was the damaged area. The drawers had a few scratches, but nothing a bit of my secret wood re-finisher couldn't handle. Look how beautifully they cleaned up!

I'm swooning over the contrast of the white body and dark wooden drawers! I'm thinking of adventuring away from white for some other 2 tone MCM pieces. Thoughts? Do you prefer the new "classic" white and brown two tone, or maybe navy and brown, black and brown, grey?
