I saw this beauty on Craigslist and had to have it. I drove about 2 hours round trip to pick it up. Is that crazy? How far do you travel for a deal? I've started to decrease the distance of my searches...because my free time is at a premium, and I'm not sure I want to spend it all driving! Here's the before that convinced me to drive so far!
I primed this baby, then painted it with my leftover coral paint. Then I took a gold sharpie paint marker
It's the little details that really make a piece special! This baby has gorgeous brass hardware and dovetailed drawers! I wouldn't have it any other way!
This dresser has brought me to a crossroads. I love it. I made the mistake of painting it the same color as the dresser I have in the girls' bedroom. Now, I can't decide which to keep!
Here's their current dresser. I'm leaning toward the new one because the clean lines go well with their nightstand. But on the other hand, their dresser is already in there! lol
I'm thinking of posting them both for sale and let the universe decide! Whichever sells first I'll keep the other! Either way, it'll definitely make a sweet dresser for some little girl...or for some awesome lady who loves coral!
Gah! I'm in love, this is beautiful. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I am obsessed! I especially love the matte! I re-purpose furniture all the time but I am hardly creative enough. All I have are some white hutches. This is lovely!!! <3
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I'm in awe of people like you that can turn things into something totally different. And you did it with a baby?! Girl, I'm lucky if I can brush my teeth with this infant lol.
