Wooden Birdcage Art

I've seen this little wooden birdcage project floating around online, and I had to make one for myself! It's funny, when I first saw it on someone's blog (I forget which one - I'm sorry!) I was like "Oh boy, a project for my new jigsaw!!" Yes, I have a tendency to make my life more difficult than it has to be! When I found out that this little wooden silhouette was an easy $5 purchase from Michael's, I was all over it!

Super simple to make. I just painted the wooden piece and backed it with regular, old printer paper - trimming off the excess. It would be really cute with a patterened paper, too. However, for my space, I thought the plain white was best.

I tried it with no backing, just didn't quite look right...
The standard paper size juuuust fit!

What do you think? A super easy and cheap project. :)
