Gold Frame Gallery Wall

One more step to a completed nursery! I tell ya, I really wish I had it completed before she came along. I missed doing newborn family photos in there, and it's a lot more difficult to work in her room with her around! Mainly because my best chance to work is later at night when she's asleep...in that room! haha

This wall is my new favorite thing in her nursery! With all those gorgeous gold frames and that coral dresser...I wish this was my room! I'm sure her sweet heart wouldn't mind if Mommy moved in! ;) I combined all of her room colors, coral, mint green, and a tad bit of navy blue!

I pretty much DIY'd all the art! Purchasing art just isn't thrifty enough for my taste (or purse strings)! Here's a shot of the layout before I added all the pretties and sprayed the frames. Can you spot the differences? Lawl!

Basically, I just sprayed almost all of the frames gold (I used Valspar) to match that fabulous vintage mirror that I picked up at Goodwill for...wait for it...only $10. The cow head is also a Goodwill find...heck who am I kidding, I got almost everything on that wall from Goodwill...the dresser, too!

Several of the art pieces I used my silhouette machine to make. The 3D butterflies, great dane, "Hello Reagan", and "I ♥ You". Others, I just printed onto some cardstock.

I think my favorite piece on the gallery wall is that white and gold knob in the bottom right of the picture below. Mamma got it for me, and it was coral-ish. I didn't think it would quite work, so I painted it white and took a gold paint marker and just went over the raised portions to make them stand out. Sure it's pretty, but I hang a grocery bag from it to fill with her diapers. Before I just had it lying on the ground; so, I'd have to bend over with one hand on the baby and try to fumble it into the bag. More often than not, I just ended up with a pile of dirty diapers on the floor!

I also painted a couple of mirrors the same way. They were hubby's from before we even met. And now they're mine Reagan's! Here's a closeup! Don't ask me why I didn't just take a picture of the whole thing...

I'm pretty sure that my solution to life is paint. I painted the lamp, too. I picked it up ages ago on clearence at Lowe's for like $7 or something. That cute textured shade is from Walmart, believe it or not! Here's the before: Brown is not so pretty...

What does the pretty mint green fox say? He says I love you!

I still have 2 more blank walls to address. It's taking a while, but I love decorating her room! I hope when she's old enough to care that she likes it!
